Major investment in 2025 – An adventure for the whole family!
Welcome to a summer filled with exciting news at Leksand Sommarland your family destination for unforgettable adventures in both water and nature! Ahead of 2025, we have invested a total of SEK 20 million in the first phase to demolish our old pools and create three new ones, perfect for both play and relaxation. With this investment, we are continuing to work towards our goal – to be Sweden's most beloved summerland.
Why a total renovation?
After 35 loyal years, the current pools have served their purpose, and age has taken its toll. In addition to the pools being in great need of renovation, many guests have also requested warmer water temperatures. We have therefore listened to our guests' feedback and are taking the opportunity to invest further to ensure that the water area stays at a minimum of 28 degrees Celsius throughout the summer.
"We are extremely excited about the opportunity to build brand new pools and environments that offer a modern and unique experience for guests of all ages," says Martin Erkenborn, CEO of Leksand Resort.
Three new pools – suitable for all ages
- Toddler pool (0–5 years): Perfect for the little ones, with a focus on safety and play.
- Aktivitetspoolen ages 6–13): Full of fun activities for the more adventurous.
- Strandpoolen: A beach-like entrance that is suitable for all ages and makes swimming accessible to more people.
Djuppoolen , which Djuppoolen long Djuppoolen a favorite among older children, will retain its previous shape and continue to offer exciting water adventures.
With these upgrades, summer 2025 looks set to be something truly special!
Work on renovating the water park began immediately after the summer park closed for the 2024 season. During November, the new base plate was cast and the installation of the state-of-the-art systems is in full swing. This marks an important milestone in the project, as we prepare to deliver an extraordinary experience to our visitors.

Over the past few weeks, many small details have been taken care of. The asphalting is complete, several coats of paint have been applied to the pools, the rock formations have been colored, and so much more! All the trees around the pool area are in place, creating such a cozy feeling. -

Steuler has been working flat out and has now installed the two large circulation pumps, which will drive a full 570 m³ of pool water per hour through the purification system. In addition, the large pipes connecting the filters and pumps have been installed, and work on refining the entire system is continuing at a rapid pace.
