Are there any attractions that are particularly suitable to recommend to guests with disabilities?

Sommarland offers a wide range of activities, and some of our larger attractions require assistance from staff or, in some cases, a personal assistant. Examples of such attractions are Drop'n Twist and Kättingflygaren, where getting on and off can be more challenging. Our smaller carousels are often easier to get on and off and do not usually require as much assistance.

Our go-kart track requires you to be able to maneuver the vehicle yourself throughout the entire track. However, our large radio-controlled cars have room for passengers and are a good alternative for those who have difficulty driving a vehicle on their own.

Our Zipline, high ropes courses, and two tall freefall slides are located at the top of a tower, making them difficult to access for guests with certain functional variations.

The water park, on the other hand, offers many possibilities. Several of the attractions can be enjoyed together in pairs, provided that the disability is not too severe. In addition, our beach pool is adapted for wheelchair use.

Is there adapted accommodation available?

Our Leksand Resort campsite has larger, wheelchair-friendly cabins with spacious bathrooms. Please contact reception on +46 (0)247-138 00 for more information.

What is Fast Track?

With a Fast Track ticket, you get priority access to some of our most popular attractions: Wipeout, Kättingflygaren, Drop'n Twist, Radio Cars, and Lazertag. The Fast Track wristband costs SEK 110 per person and is collected at the entrance when you arrive at the park.

Fast Track gives you the right to skip the line at selected attractions once per hour, using the special Fast Track entrance that is clearly marked at each attraction.

Please note that each attraction has a limited number of Fast Track spots per ride, which means that some waiting time may occur even with Fast Track or an accessibility wristband—especially on busy days.

Are guests with special dietary requirements taken into account?

Yes! Options for gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian, and similar diets are available at several restaurants. The food & drink page provides updated information about what our food contains. If you have any further questions, please send an email to info@leksandresort.se.

Allergies to perfumes and other fragrances

Leksand Sommarland almost exclusively an outdoor experience, so problems rarely arise.

The needs of visually impaired people – are there special installations for them?

Leksand Sommarland's guest services, located inside the entrance, are available to provide verbal information. Braille is not available in the park.

The needs of people with hearing impairments – are there special installations for them?

Written information is available on our website and on our park map. Leksand Sommarland's main attractions are water and ride attractions, most of which can be enjoyed by hearing-impaired guests without any significant problems.

Why does my child, who is 100–120 cm tall, have to pay full admission when they cannot participate in all the activities?

Most activities at Sommarland have some form of height/weight restriction, and our aim is to have roughly the same number of activities for all different heights. Like many other parks and summer parks in Sweden, our admission price is set at 1 meter.

Can I count on assistance from staff at an attraction?

Yes, absolutely! Our staff always does their best to help all guests, as far as possible and as long as safety can be maintained.

However, it is important to note that many of our attractions require good mobility and vision, while others—such as certain carousels—do not have the same requirements. Guests must be able to get to the attraction themselves, and if they need help climbing stairs or similar obstacles, they must bring their own carrier or assistant.

Please do not hesitate to ask the attraction staff for assistance or to call a team leader if you need extra support. We are happy to help wherever possible!

Is there a quiet place to rest during the day?

Unfortunately, we do not have a designated rest area, but there are several quiet places where you can take a break during the day.

The summer square, adjacent to the entrance square, is a green and peaceful oasis with seating among flowers and greenery in a rural setting.

In the northern part of the park, furthest from the entrance, there are also larger open areas where it is often much quieter and less crowded.

If you find crowds difficult, we recommend visiting us during the low season, when the number of guests is significantly lower. During your visit, it can also be nice to start the day at the water park and do the land activities in the afternoon – most guests do the opposite, which means you can enjoy a quieter environment for most of the day.

One tip is to book a cabana before your visit. That way, you'll have your own private spot that's yours for the whole day.

If you have special needs that require other solutions to ensure that your visit goes as smoothly as possible, please feel free to email us well in advance of your visit at info@leksandsommarland.se, and we will assist you as best we can.
